Attend a First Friday youth performance!

Every first Friday of the month at 6.15pm (MST) young people willing to share their poems meet at a designated spot to share their courage and creativity!

YOU TOO can participate in our social media writing prompts on Facebook, some of which are also in our blog.

We promote breaking down the walls that separate us, and want the youth to know we’re willing to share what we’ve written, too!

The more you share, the more welcoming it is for others to share.

Not only can you support the agency in numerous needed ways, but we hope you’ll be able to tell your friends and family about the work we do from a personal perspective.

People are more inclined to give financially to an organization their loved ones believe in.

*Most importantly, tell the young people in your life about AfA and encourage them to try some of our free programming by contacting our Director of Programs.

Art from Ashes exists to empower struggling youth by providing creative programs that facilitate health and hope through expression, connection and transformation.

You can support our work with thousands of young people by investing in their creativity and by encouraging them to believe a new story for their lives!

In-Kind Donations

Your “In-Kind” donations of Goods help us save the money we would normally spend, so we can use our funds directly for service to the young people.

Please contact us if you have art or writing materials, office supplies, tickets or items that can be part of a silent auction, or any other gift we would rely on to support our work.

Some goods we’ve received in the past include:

  • Journals and art paper
  • Art supplies (pens, markers, crayons, colored pencils, glue sticks, paints, brushes, canvases, etc)
  • Magazines and picture books (for collage)
  • Office supplies and furniture
  • Food/Healthy Snacks for workshops
  • Silent auction items (tickets to events, art work, services, hotel stays, luxury items)

If you have already donated goods or materials, fill out this form for your income tax purposes.

Words on Wheels

If you have a vehicle you’d like to donate, our company will pick it up and take care of all the paperwork.

The money will support youth programs and the tax deduction is all yours.

Business Support

Art from Ashes is so grateful to the businesses in the community that sponsor our programs through events and in-kind donations.

We are grateful to all of these sponsors who have supported us over the years, allowing us to serve 18,000 young people through creative programs in partnership with 200+ agencies.

Business support also allows us to provide our on-site weekly and monthly Phoenix Rising workshops to the youth, free of charge.

Adult Workshops​

Reignite your creativity by participating in our Adult Workshops!

Adult writing workshops are designed to enhance the connection between the cognitive self and the creative right brain and do not focus on skills development.

All levels of writers (including those who think they are not) are welcome and will benefit.

Adult Workshop Gift Certificates​

Give the gift of empowerment and transformation through creativity! Your gift recipient will be able to choose from any workshop offered in 2024-25 for the cost of $175 for the entire series.

Go to our Adult Workshop page and scroll down to use PayPal or mail us a check and we’ll send a gift email to the recipient.

Workshops are in person at our agency location (1310 W. 10th Ave., Denver, CO).

All adult workshops support creative empowerment workshops for youth.
